SoMeWHeRe OVeR ThE RaINbOW

Unicorns, Faeries,  & Rainbows oh my!!
That's what this little girlie girl is made of
Our little cutie patootie Acey Lynn- turned 2 years old last week
HAPPY BDAY Acey LYNN!  Nanny and Papa love you!
This cake looks pretty plain on the outside......
But hold onto your hats when its cut open!
ITS A RAINBOW!

Here's how we did it-
4 Plain White cake mixes- prepared per box.
( I use milk instead of water- a Wilton trick)
 6 different Wilton gel colors
Add until you get the desired color you want.
The hardest is red because is seems to want to stay kinda pinkish....
We cooked then in a 9" cake pan at 350° for 25-28 min.
My oven would only fit 3 at a time-
so it was double duty kind of thing.
(This is a secret so don't tell anyone)
After cooling- FREEZE the cake.  It will be
wonderfully moist and so easy to shape.
Cut the top off each cake so it is flat! (big must)
make your favorite (Wiltons Buttercream) Frosting-
we used 4 batches.
Layered frosting, cake, frosting, cake....you get the idea.
Well frosting goes down first because you don't want this TALL cake to slide anywhere (another wilton trick)
Add your favorite decorations.
Kelsey wanted a rainbow of skittles (Acey's Favorite candy)
and then.....
HOMEMADE ICE CREAM BY PAPA!
stick your fingers in the cake if you feel like it -or....
blow out the candles....
and then its PARTY PARTY PARTY!!
unless you wanna eat the biggest piece of rainbow cake ever!
The hit present of the day (way to go Kisha) a bunny rabbit doll!
Immediate hugs had to be given!
and that doll had to go everywhere with her!
oh ya, just try to take it away for pictures...
or you could play with CARS- who cares if its a pink Barbie car!
and then the boys... go outside to see who can jump the highest!
I think its pretty much a tie!
our you could lay down on the chair backwards,
and feed your face the biggest marshmallow pop ever seen!
Or .... if you are a real boy- a real big boy
you can go hide in the front room try to hide
or lay down and try to sleep.
 ah ha Dan Caught cha!
