Oh my, look what I discovered at the State Fair.... Quilts, Quilts, Quilts-on the walls, ceiling, and hanging from the rafters Every size, shape and kind every color I think I was in quilt heaven! (click on the picture for a close up view)
{ ♥ the inside border on this one..}
This quilter must crochet her flowers first then applique them on the quilt.
This one was crazy- it's called Masquerade- see the little ladies in their masks- look further to see the squares....
♥ it ♥ it ♥ it ♥ it beautiful colors and design
Even an old baby bib had its place in the quilt world! How CUTE!!
This quilt was huge! The most amazing thing is that each square was different and unique. No two squares are the same Go ahead!! - try to find two alike!!
Where are the squares? No squares here!OMG -- perfect point after perfect point after perfect point!
This next quilt didn't show very well. Not much in color, not much in uniqueness, but when you get up close, this is totally hand stitched. Take a look at the white piece and see all those beautiful straight little lines-- all teeny tiney little stitches. OH MY-this is one your great grandma would have made. This may look like applique of fabric flowers, until... you get close enough to see each flower is embroidered! pièce de ré·sis·tance(pyes de ra-ze-stäns')n.pl. 1. An outstanding accomplishment: Award winning and most gorgeous thing I've ever seen Again- no two squares are the same. a little close up look.
I just stood there for about 20 minutes looking at all the stitching and was amazed.
Such Talent!! [IDK- Maybe I should give up even before I start] New hobby- quilt shows.
(NO-- Not John either!!) It's all about the "other" Senior in my house! I'm talking Sr. Night at MHS Football game.
I ♥ my Sr. High School Boy♥ ! Can a parent be any prouder? Straight A Student, good morals and standards, strong work ethics, kind, loving, athletic, a real Saturday's Warrior! (dubbed the "golden boy" by others in the family) I was proud to present him his "candy lei" and walk the sidelines with him.
Too often I just rush though the holiday season without thinking of things I should be thankful for. Take the challenge with me and blog about the things you are thankful for.

G'PA-WHITE HAIRED, SWEET, LOVING- but you never know whats coming out of his mouth!
Joke: I took my father in law to the mall the other day to buy him some new shoes (he is 84). We decided to grab a bite at the food court. I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, and blue. My FIL kept staring at him. The teenager would look and find him staring every time. When the teenager had had enough, he sarcastically asked, "What's the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?" Knowing my FIL I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke on his response, knowing he would have a good one, and in classic style he did not bat an eye in his response. "Got drunk once, and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son."
