ALL FIXED UP AND READY TO ROLL!

After 12 attempts by 3 different nurses, 4 different veins, & finally 2 attempts by the anesthesiologists, the IV went in. [in Showlow 3 days ago, it only took them 5 attempts]Then They wheeled the "Golden Boy" back to the

OR. This is the results.

When it was all over the Surgeon described [not that I wanted to hear] it ALL. I MUST share it all with you. After slicing open he skin, they had to peel it back and cut out any damaged tissue. Then scrape off all the muscle that is attached to the bone, along with any NERVES. Align the bones the best they can. Hopefully not having to chisel any out. Strategically place the plate and then with an actual "surgical drill" drill tiny holes in the bone so the screw will go in straight. Sew the muscle back together, and staple the skin. With a grimace on my face, I asked him to spare me any more details. The surgery went well, and with a few comical memories in the recovery room, our Golden boy is on the road to full recover. If you can believe it, he hasn't taken even one pain pill!
He really must be the "Golden Boy!"
[at least he is to us]
